北电网络(中国)公司总裁兼首席执行长官

　　从1997年9月起，毛渝南先生一直担任北电网络公司高级副总裁,兼北电网络(中国)公司的总裁兼首席执行长官,常驻北京，主管北电网络在中国的运营业务。
毛渝南先生对中国电信及IT市场的广泛深入了解来自于其20多年在亚洲电讯业所积累的经验。他对以因特网为中心的全球未来发展，特别是中国电信及IT产业的发展有着其独特的远见卓识。为此，被行业界媒体亲切地称为"电信第一人。"
此前，毛渝南先生曾先后担任过阿尔卡特中国区总裁兼阿尔卡特电讯部门董事会的成员，台湾国际标准电子有限公司总裁兼首席执行长官，及IT&T亚太机构一系列管理和行政职务，

　　毛渝南先生毕业于康奈尔大学（CornellUniversity），获材料学学士、硕士学位以及麻省理工学院的管理学硕士学位。

Robert Mao was appointed Senior Vice President of Nortel Networks, and also President and Chief Executive Officer for Nortel China on September 11, 1997. Based in Beijing, Mr. Mao oversees Nortel's operations in the People's Republic of China (PRC), Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (S.A.R.) and Taiwan.
Mr. Mao's extensive knowledge of the China market comes from more than 20 years of telecommunications experience in Asia. Most recently, Mr. Mao was the Area President for Alcatel's Greater China region and a member of Alcatel's Telecom Sector Board.
From 1982, Mr. Mao was appointed President and CEO of Taiwan International Standard Electronics Ltd., IT&T company which was acquired by Alcatel in 1987 as Alcatel Taisel. Alcatel Taisel is a fully fledged industrial unit designing, manufacturing and selling telecommunication network products.
Between 1972 to 1982, Mr. Mao held a number of managerial and executive positions within IT&T Asia Pacific organization responsible for marketing & sales, purchasing and local integration, administration, and quality functions both in the United States and in Taiwan.
Prior to obtaining his post graduate management degree, Mr. Mao worked as a metallurgical engineer for Norton Company in the United States.
Mr. Mao holds both a bachelor and masters degree from Cornell university in materials science and a masters degree in management science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). He is fluent in both English and Chinese.
