Located in the west of Zhejiang Province and by the upper
reaches of Qiantang River, Changshan County is the west Gate
of Zhejiang Province with the total area of 1099. 1 square
meters and the population of 319600, governing 27 towns &
townships and 338 administrative villages.
With a long history and splendid civilization, established
as a county named Dingyang in 23rd year of Jianan, East Han
Dynasty (A. D. 218), Changshan has a history of nearly 1800
years. It began to be called Changshan in 5th year of Xianheng,
Tang Dynasty (A.D. 674).
Located on a superior position and enjoying convenient transport
facilities, Changshan has No. 320 National Highway, No. 205
National Highway and Hangzhou-Jinghua-Quzhou Expressway crisscrossed
in the whole county, and the county proper is within only
40 km of Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway and Quzhou Civil Airport.
